Best and Worst Drinks for Weight Loss

Best Drinks

  • Water: Your body requires water to function correctly. Dehydration, constipation, and kidney stones are all prevented by taking this supplement. It’s also the healthiest beverage for your waistline because it has no calories. If you drink 1 to 3 cups of water per day, you may consume less fat, salt, and sugar, as well as 200 fewer calories each day. Is it too simple? Flavour drops with no calories sweeten, but they may include artificial flavours, colours, or preservatives. Instead, try a squeeze of citrus.
  • Tea: Antioxidants are abundant in green, black, and other tea varieties and may protect you from cancer, stroke, heart disease, and high blood pressure. Unsweetened beers also have a low-calorie count. Whether you prefer it hot or iced, the healthiest varieties are made at home without the added sugars in packaged tea.
  • Milk: It’s high in calcium, vitamin D, and potassium, all of which help to keep your muscles, teeth, and bones strong. It also has more protein than a giant egg in a cup. Look for low-fat and skim milk to obtain more nutrients from fewer calories. Some non-dairy milk, such as soy, oat, almond, and others, have the same nutrients as cow’s milk, although their concentration per serving is low.

Worst Drinks

  • Soft Drinks: They’re devoid of nutrition and high in sugar. People who drink one or two per day consume more calories and are more likely to gain weight. You’re also at a higher risk of developing type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and other health issues.
  • Energy Drinks: They promise to give you a boost by using substances like guarana, B vitamins, and ginseng, as well as large amounts of caffeine (equivalent to 4 to 5 cups of coffee). Most of them also include a lot of sugar or sweeteners. You may experience a temporary increase in alertness, but don’t trust the claims of increased energy and strength. What you do get is an excess of calories and caffeine, which can lead to abnormal heart rhythms, anxiety, insomnia, and digestive issues.
