What Our client required? 

Assignment: The client wanted the formulation of classic cocktails in hard seltzer form.

This case study focuses on the following:

  • This study aims to develop an alcoholic beverage per the client’s requirement.
  • The cocktail in hard seltzer form should have good sensory properties.

What did we do? 

Challenges

  • Formulating a hard seltzer without changing the classic taste and
  • The most challenging part is finding a good processing technique to stabilise the product and have a decent shelf life.

Solution

  • Varying levels of flavours were tested using different combinations to determine which flavour combination resulted in the same taste as a classic cocktail when carbonated.
  • Natural preservatives were used to make the product shelf-stable.
