Assignment:

The client approached us for product enhancement for an alcoholic beverage. The client already had their product, for which they wanted some improvement. 

This case study focuses on the following: 

  • To formulate the product with new flavour addition and maintain its stability. 
  • Focusing on the colour stability of the beverage  

Challenges:

  • Flavour: The enhanced product should mask the alcohol taste and aroma.  
  • The colour of the product should be stable throughout the shelf life.

Solution:

  • Analysing the chemical composition of flavour and increasing the flavour ratio can help in masking the alcoholic taste and aroma and give a pleasant natural flavour to the product, and storing in proper packaging helps to maintain the stability of flavours. 
  • Using an identical natural colour in place of natural colour can help maintain the product’s stability.
