A Tablet is a pharmaceutical oral solid, flat or biconvex, unit dosage form consisting of one or more active ingredients along with a number of inert materials known as additives or excipients (e.g. diluents, binders, lubricants, glidants, anti-adherents, disintegrants, colouring agents, flavouring agents and absorbents). They vary in shape, size, and weight depending on the amount of medical substances and intended mode of administration.
