Event: Today, I decided to work on the formulation of Energy premix powder

How I felt it (initially before executing the actual task): I love to handle those projects that deal with innovative food and beverage products.

What did I learn?

In today’s world, where most people work for a longer time, consumers often experience fatigue and need products that provide them with instant energy. Products that instantly increase energy are becoming more popular. So, we will be formulating an instant energy premix powder that will provide consumers with not only energy but also added nutrients and vitamins. This project focuses on the formulation of energy premix powder. Most people can consume this vegan product, and it was formulated without any addition of preservatives or sweeteners. The formulation of the product is done with only a few ingredients that will help people uplift energy instantly. After procurement of the ingredients, the energy premix powder was formulated with no added sugar or preservatives. Once the formulation is done, the product is kept for shelf-life study.

Outcome:

A ready-to-mix instant energy premix powder with no added preservatives was formulated at Guires Food Research Lab.

What went well?

The product turned out well since it was developed after several trials. Further trials could be conducted to improve the stability of the product.

What could I have done better?

A better formulation with improved shelf life could have been developed.
