Development Engineering Packaging – Senior Associate

Job Description:

Support global NPD (New Product Development) projects as package engineer
Evaluate and develop new materials and/or recommend alternate packaging materials, packaging solutions or packaging systems based on product, regulatory, business or technical requirements
Manage packaging development project/topics or packaging development sub-projects within global teams
Drive the process to establish and agree on packaging requirements and meet the agreed technical requirements, timelines, and financial budget
Execute regional initiated (incremental net sale growth/business maintenance/cost saving/special pack) projects as package engineer
Keep FRL lab India under good test and safety condition
Accountable for local testing for product registration & product validation at FRL, India and assuring validation across the globe by liaising with package engineering
Collaborate with project manager and cross functional team to build project timeline, deliver key milestones and participate in project meetings accordingly
Issue packaging component specifications, product recipes and pallet patterns etc.
Ensuring that shipments are packed with all required material, including barrier bags, desiccants, ESD grounding.
Support Product Data Management Team to build BOM (Bill of Material) in PLM (Product Life-cycle Management) system

Required Qualification: A minimum of bachelor’s degree in industrial technology, Chemical Engineering, Packaging Engineer, or equivalent engineering program
Required Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in R&D packaging development environment, working understanding of capital management, knowledge of form/filling equipment platforms, in relevant industry
Must possess strong interpersonal skills and a sharp customer focus to integrate group activities with partners, including Early development, Supply and potential External collaborators.

As Package Engineer at FRL India, you will apply best practice throughout PCM (Product Change Management) organization of being responsible for the development, analysis, and improvement of the packaging of our customers products
Work Schedule:
Monday – Saturday (except second Saturday)
