Honey Roasted Cashews Recall

Immediate release – March 12, 2024 

Product Information – John B Sanfilippo & Son, Inc. is issuing a voluntary recall of the following product: 

Product Name- Great Value Honey Roasted Cashews 

Size- 8.25oz (234g) 

Reason for Recall – John B. Sanfilippo & Son, Inc (JBSS) announced that they are voluntarily recalling a limited amount of 8.25 oz Great Value Honey Roasted Cashews, because it may contain undeclared coconut and milk. 

Health Risks- People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to coconut or milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume this product with the “used by date” 08 July 2025. 

Regulatory Actions- The FDA said a consumer first reported finding coconut cashews inside a tin labeled Great Value Honey Roasted Cashews. Upon investigation, officials discovered that several containers of coconut cashews had been incorrectly labeled “honey roasted” during manufacturing. 

Safety Remainder- If this product is still in your possession, do not consume it. Please discard the product or return the product to a Walmart store for a full refund.1
