Required Qualification:
A bachelor’s degree in science or engineering is required, with a Master’s/PhD in a natural science (e.g., Chemistry, Biology) or engineering (e.g., Chemical, Biomedical, Material Science) preferred
Required Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in cross-category cosmetic/makeup formulation (Eye, Lip, Face) is required.
- Experience in OTC/SPF/sun-protection formulation and knowledge of FDA/OTC, ISO, and global regulatory requirements are highly desirable.
- Strong communication, presentation, and project management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to share knowledge and mentor both experts and non-experts.
- A deep self-awareness of your own cultural identity, biases, and the ability to work effectively in diverse environments.

Job Title: Cosmetics Formulation Specialists

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the initiation of project concepts, develop objectives, and prioritize tasks to complete multiple significant R&I projects with minimal supervision.
- Independently manage multiple projects from inception to launch, ensuring timelines and objectives are met.
- Investigate and resolve research challenges as they arise, mobilizing and coordinating project teams effectively.
- Ensure the necessary technical resources are in place to meet project targets and deadlines.
- Develop and execute new, complex makeup /cosmetic formulas, monitoring their quality and conformity.
- Provide scientific expertise, acting as a project champion to ensure smooth project execution.
- Mentor and train technical project staff, sharing your expertise and guiding their development.
- Identify and evaluate new raw materials that enhance product efficacy and innovation.
- Interface with technical support teams, including safety, regulatory, microbiology, analytical, and manufacturing.
- Maintain a clear vision of project goals and consumer insights, keeping up to date with competitor products and market benchmarks.
- Collaborate extensively with other departments, including Marketing and Manufacturing, and manage external vendor relationships as needed.
Work Schedule:
Full Time, Monday to Saturday, 10:00a.m. to 7:00pm. Hours may vary on occasion, depending on workload.
